As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dalla, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

Should be familiar with Endevor, mainframe DB2 database concepts, CICS Online Programs and VSAM files.
Functional knowledge of the debit card product lifecycle
Extremely strong in COBOL/JCL programming.
Should be familiar with Endevor, mainframe DB2 database concepts and VSAM files. Experience working with Easytrieve to build quick extracts.
Strong analytical skills, experience working with remote teams, managing deliverables of a team, ability to work with business and operations to understand requirements and create high level and low level designs to meet requirements is a plus.
Comfortable with learning new technologies not previously familiar with.
Preferred:
Financial Institution experience
Experience using ZOS connect tool to build/maintain rest APIs

Job Description

  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
