The Advisory business practice is Hatch's management consulting arm that helps clients in the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors solve their toughest business problems.
Hatch is currently looking for new graduates to join the Advisory business practice for full-time positions beginning upon graduation. Successful candidates will assist in consulting engagements by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform business decisions for Hatch’s clients. The successful candidate must be adaptable, highly self-motivated, have the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment, and be able to build and maintain strong relationships through excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities:

Developing and/or assisting in the preparation of cost models, financial models or business cases for projects and initiatives, for external clients and within Hatch

Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources and reconciling conflicts
-
Deconstructing high level information to identify the underlying fundamental drivers and aggregating detailed information to inform a holistic understanding
-
Proactively communicating and collaborating with internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver written reports, presentations, and verbal reports, as needed
-
Collating and summarizing information using data collected from existing data sources, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions

Preparing cases and scenarios to assist analysts and consultants

Collaborating with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between planned objectives and business performance needs

Assisting with administrative support, as required

Successfully managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
Qualifications:
-
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an Engineering, Science, Business, Commerce or Economics program at an accredited university (enrollment in a co-op program is an asset), graduating in 2026. Candidates must be in excellent academic standing

Good understanding of engineering and/or business fundamentals as they apply to developing business cases for initiatives and projects in the metals, energy, and infrastructure industries

Strong numerical and analytical skills, including the ability to research, filter, and clearly summarize complex content
