As a Financial Services Cybersecurity Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Crowe’s cybersecurity strategy and leading teams that support top-tier banks, fintechs, capital markets firms, insurers, and digital asset companies to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary cybersecurity leader to join our growing Financial Services team as a Director. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in financial services cybersecurity—particularly within the banking industry—combined with broad experience across fintech, capital markets, insurance, and digital assets. This individual will oversee client engagements, direct strategic initiatives, and contribute to the development and execution of Crowe’s cybersecurity vision, offerings, and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive Crowe’s cybersecurity strategy within the financial services sector, aligning with firmwide goals and emerging market opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the executive sponsor for major cybersecurity engagements; develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
- Engagement Oversight: Provide strategic direction and quality assurance for complex cybersecurity assessments, internal audits, program development, and compliance readiness activities.
- Practice Development: Expand and enhance Crowe’s cybersecurity services portfolio for financial institutions, leveraging client feedback, regulatory trends, and emerging threats.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Crowe as an industry leader through public speaking, white papers, and contributions to industry forums.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop managers and senior professionals; foster a high-performing, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture.
- Business Development: Partner with leadership on go-to-market strategy, proposal development, and client pursuits; drive growth through strategic account planning.
- Regulatory and Industry Insight: Maintain deep awareness of evolving regulations and cybersecurity standards (e.g., GLBA, NYDFS, PCI DSS, FFIEC) and translate insights into actionable strategies for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience within financial services; consulting experience preferred.
- Leadership: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity with demonstrated success managing senior professionals, teams, and large-scale engagements.
- Expertise: In-depth understanding of financial services cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Proven ability to communicate complex cybersecurity topics to executive audiences and influence decision-making at the board level.
- Credentials: One or more advanced certifications (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or equivalent) required; advanced degree preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
