Job Description
We are seeking a Director for our Segment Marketing Biopharma Team to drive an enterprise-level view of the Discovery and Pre-Clinical phase of this market and customers. The goal is to holistically assess market dynamics, trends, and proactively identify new and emerging modalities/workflows. Utilizing these insights to inform business investment decisions, drive enterprise-wide strategy development, support new opportunity program execution and drive organizational-wide initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader, who possesses a solid understanding of how Agilent’s Technologies can be applied to the drug discovery and development process, with experience using their market knowledge, customer feedback and market analysis to lead the team to characterize new market opportunities formulate new workflow solutions and develop new market penetration strategies.
As the Segment Marketing Biopharma Director- Discovery & Pre-Clinical, you will:
Lead the team in development of our Biopharma strategy that leverages our unique capabilities and product portfolio while reinforcing our brand and value proposition.
Lead the team in compiling feedback from customers, sales, and product management to identify new opportunities and develop strategies for a competitive advantage.
Work with Commercial Marketing to support the development of tactical marketing plans aligned with our end-market strategy for new and/or existing products.
Lead the team to develop internal training and customer educational/promotional material in collaboration with product management, R&D, and commercial teams.
Own and drive key strategic Biopharma initiatives at the enterprise level, partnering with Corporate Strategy, commercial and divisional leadership to drive successful outcomes.
Act as a customer champion across the organization, advocating for the development of solutions that address unmet pain points and instill more customer focus within Agilent.
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to develop commercialization and product development plans that drive growth in key channels and customer segments.
Exceed the financial and market goals for Biopharma Segment globally.
Perform detailed analysis & reporting of business performance.
Provide day to day management and development of the Biopharma segment team to fulfill their roles, take on new tasks, and develop their capabilities to take on future higher-level roles within the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related science; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of Biopharmaceutical industry related experience.
Knowledge of the Protein, Oligonucleotide, Cell, Gene, or Nucleic Acid Therapeutic development process.
5+ years’ experience in a sales, marketing, and/or business development leadership position, having led a team to formulate program strategy, new product introductions and/or new market penetration strategies.
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
The US pay range for this full-time position is $157,120.00 - $289,690.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
