Your new role
As our new Project Geologist, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks..
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Critical thinking abilities for data analysis and group participation for report completion based on evaluation of environmental data and application of regulatory criteria
- Experience in field collection of soil, groundwater, sediment, and/or vapor samples.
- Experience in geologic well logging, monitoring well construction and development
- Experience with aquifer testing (e.g., pump tests, slug tests) and analysis a plus
- Proficient with field equipment and meter use, calibration, and troubleshooting (e.g., PID, gas meter, pumps, in-line water quality probes, surface water monitors)
- Proven track record of implementing site characterization field work following standard operating procedures / client guidelines and working safely.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and programs.

These include:
- BS in Geology, related engineering or science degrees may be considered;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required;
- 3-8 years environmental consulting experience;
- Ability to perform field activities that require outdoor work and physical exertion;
- Active participation in professional associations and other organizations a plus
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification preferred; and
- Proficiency in GIS and GPS platforms will be considered a significant plus
