The Global Learning Centre (GLC) was established as part of the GSSC to develop and deliver training for UNICEF staff globally.

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF GSSC and UNICEF ICTD are seeking an HR Associate (Curriculum Developer/Instructor) to design and develop both online e-learning and face-to-face curriculum development using a variety of development tools, with a special focus on designing Information Security Learning and Awareness materials.

The HR Associate will present curriculum both face-to-face at the GSSC facility and via the broadcast studio to UNICEF staff worldwide.

Key functions/accountabilities:

  1. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs 
  • Support the identification of learning needs within UNICEF
  • Collaborate with SMEs to understand the learning needs and to determine the best method for presenting learning initiatives 
  1. Develop learning and awareness solutions in Information Security
  • Develop concept papers on programme needs 
  • Design tailored modules for high-risk groups
  • Create awareness materials such as videos, infographics, images and bulletins for Information Security Awareness, both targeted at all staff and at specific groups
  • Design and develop learning initiatives tailored to the identified high-risk groups (including self-paced learning modules and visuals for live delivery)
  • Work with SMEs to prove and refine content as required 
  • Update the office’s intranet SharePoint sites as needed
  • Share learning materials and programmes on Agora
  1. Update the mandatory course on Information Security Awareness
  • Coordinate with SMEs to assess the needs for an update
  • Work with SMEs to develop the new content
  • Coordinate with the Agora team for publishing and launch
  1. Use of latest methods and technology to develop innovative learning outputs  
  • Support the HR Manager by carrying out background research on lessons learned for knowledge development and identification of best practices 
  • Research and report on best and cutting-edge technologies for learning development 
  • Develop expertise in the recommended tools for development
  1. Support in monitoring and reporting
  • Support in creating reports, updates, presentations and other awareness materials tailored for regional and country offices
  • Update dashboards and analytics, and basic data consolidation and wrangling (i.e. quarterly phishing simulations results)
  1. Deliver live training as needed (using classroom and/or webinar modalities)
  • Work with administrative support to schedule the delivery of course content
  • Ensure course session information is updated on the office’s intranet (SharePoint), the learning platform, and in calendars
  • Deliver in-person and webinar training to UNICEF staff worldwide as needed.
