This position is an Remote opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division in Alameda, CA. We are helping people with diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we are committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As an Associate Director, Strategic Contracting & Pricing , you will oversees the Managed Care Contracting function at ADC, including the largest PBM and GPO relationships. The position involves working cross-functionally with Legal, Account Management, and Finance teams on contract development. A key focus is leading creative contract development while ensuring consistency with pricing strategies, legal guidelines, and company policies. We seek an experienced contracting professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to constantly shifting priorities. This is a Remote Opportunity.

What You'll Do

• Build, lead, and coach a high-performance Contracting Team in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization
• Oversee negotiations and contract implementation for all customer channels (including Retail Pharmacy, DME, Hospital, Government, and others)
• Work cross-functionally to optimize access within Managed Care contracts, maximizing the value for Abbott, Diabetes Patients, and Payer/PBMs.
• Oversee coordination of the department, legal review processes, and redlining of complex arrangements.
• Generate creative contracting solutions aligned to ADC’s pricing objectives and overall company strategy. 
• Lead projects & process improvement initiatives within Contracts & Pricing
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management

Experience You'll Bring

Required

• Expert in complex reimbursement and contracting requirements for Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers including big 3 PBM/GPOs.
• Experience in pharmaceutical contracting and pricing strategies required
