Part-Time Hospice Chaplain

Hospice Chaplain will provide spiritual care services to patients and their families and caregivers. You will also maintain records of the spiritual care services you utilize for quality assurance and program development using our electronic medical records system.

• Coverage Area Needed: South Orange County (Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Rancho Sant Margarita, Laguna Niguel, down to San Clemente)
• Ensure that spiritual assessments of patients and their families and caregivers in the hospice program and appropriate services are rendered in a timely manner
• Facilitate the development of an individualized plan of care by participating in a comprehensive assessment to meet identified spiritual needs
• Provide direct spiritual care to patients and their families and caregivers
• Plan periodic memorial services to meet the needs of personnel, volunteers, and community clergy/spiritual counselors working with the hospice team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (Master of Divinity required)
• Experience working with death and dying, individuals, families and caregivers
• Comfortable in an interfaith setting
• Hospice experience preferred
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
