About This Role

The Field Inspection Technician will be integrally involved with the process of helping customers go solar. This person must keep up to date with the ever-changing AHJ rules and regulations and ensure everything is prepared on the backend before a solar inspection takes place.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage & track project deliverables and timelines as well as communicate with customers to keep them fully informed
  • Troubleshoot inspection scheduling problems via phone and email to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage the appointments/Inspections calendar, ensuring appointments/inspections are accurately scheduled and rescheduled as needed
  • Coordinate efforts of technicians and administrative staff to ensure timely, efficient execution of all committed orders
  • Work with our CRM systems (Podio) to update the status of projects timely, and ensure all reporting and analytics is accurate
  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements and customers stayed informed
  • Forecast inspection manpower requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of solar experience required
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC and local AHJ Requirements
  • Knowledge of PV Systems (including DC and AC components)
  • Takes initiative with solving problems
  • Ability to follow process within strict deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated and thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be a self-starter and able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills, ability to learn new software platforms quickly
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements and have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
