Our marketing team works as a collaborative partner across the entire organization to develop and deliver powerful resources and tools to educate surgeons, patients, and our salesforce on our minimally invasive products and procedures. The newly-created role of Director of Marketing Operations will be instrumental in creating a vision for the marketing operations team, contributing immediately to ongoing initiatives, diving into priority tactics and ensuring the team delivers results, and leading improvement initiatives to increase the overall efficiencies of our marketing organization. The ideal candidate is passionate about bringing people together, solving complex problems, and leading with an altruistic mindset.
Main Objective: Responsible for directing development and implementation of processes, standards, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure, and technology that will support the marketing organization and improve operational efficiency and project/program management. Provide effective oversight for project management and marketing operations functions including process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, digital asset management, budget administration and marketing analytics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audit of current marketing activities, performance, and investment and develop roadmap for improvements and business case for undertaking necessary changes.
- Lead implementation of improvement opportunities and initiatives, including directing cross-functional implementation teams to increase overall efficiencies of the marketing organization.
- Partner to assess organization’s current Marketing capabilities against future objectives and requirements and formulate a strategy to build required competencies through internal development and recruitment.
- Lead utilization and support of marketing technology infrastructure.
- Partner with Data & Analytics COE to integrate data from multiple sources to generate a holistic view of marketing and campaign performance.
- Leverage marketing analytics tools to measure the success of channels, assets, and campaigns, and identify areas for improvement to enable leadership to make data-driven recommendations/decisions.
- Oversee preparation of analytics and reporting associated with marketing campaigns, initiatives, and infrastructure and actively share reporting to drive visibility into org-wide performance.
- Provide oversight for project planning, scope, development, and successful integration of programs and projects.
- Oversee procedures, policies, and documentation to ensure marketing materials, campaigns and activities are in compliance with applicable federal health care programs and FDA requirements and Arthrex policies and procedures, and updated regularly.
- Lead budgeting process for marketing organization.
- Interview, hire, and train new team members.
- Manage and mentor team to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide performance reviews and resolve conflict.
- Less than 10% travel for training, meetings or trade shows may be required.

Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in Marketing Management, Business Management, or equivalent field required. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years experience and demonstrated success at same or equivalent capacity at other organizations in one or more of the following: Marketing Operations, Strategic Planning, Business Administration, Analytics, BI, Project Management required.
- Life sciences/medical device industry experience highly desired.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills required to interact with staff, colleagues, management, executives, and internal/external customers, and bring people together.
- Must have high emotional intelligence, advanced self-awareness and soft skills.
- Ability to successfully manage and motivate onsite, hybrid and fully remote teams.
- Advanced experience with data analytics concepts and tools, data warehouse, metrics and KPIs.
- Ability to influence others and drive change across organization
