In this newly created opportunity, we are looking for an extraordinary Physical Security Technical Writer, with a deep understanding of physical security processes and programs. You will help document and build our repository of security standards, playbooks, processes, and policies. Reporting to the Director - Global Security Initiatives, you will work closely with the Global Places & Security team, the Security Training team, the Technical Security team, and the Physical Security Operations team, and other stakeholders as assigned. We are seeking a colleague who enjoys working independently but collaboratively in a collegial team environment within a fast-paced and dynamic company.
We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.
Your Impact
- Understand the different types of Physical Security teams and develop content to meet their needs
- Understand the Places organization and can develop content to meet their needs
- Write, edit, and organize content, including global standards and processes
- Edit documents for grammar, style, voice, and tone
- Help define writing projects and determine priorities
- Translate technical information into clear, concise, and effective documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Assist in defining standards, style guides, and terminology
- Develop and create training materials for all of the Global Places & Security organization, as well as Palo Alto Networks employees
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and lead virtual, as well as in-person training
- Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications
