NCS is currently seeking an experienced Medical Dosimetrist to join our Radiation team. This position will be responsible for designing and calculating patient-specific radiation treatment plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and medical physicists. This role ensures that prescribed doses of radiation are delivered accurately and safely while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. The Medical Dosimetrist plays a critical role in treatment planning, quality assurance, and supporting optimal patient outcomes in radiation oncology.

Other essential duties:
- Utilize treatment planning systems (TPS) and imaging studies (CT, MRI, PET) to develop accurate plans.
- Ensure plans meet dosimetric standards and account for patient-specific variables such as anatomy and tumor characteristics.
- Assist radiation therapists in treatment setup and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Document treatment plans, dose calculations, and quality assurance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the implementation of new treatment techniques, software, and technologies.
- Support departmental education, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, or related field required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Dosimetry program.
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential required through the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in radiation oncology treatment planning preferred.
- Experience with Eclipse, ARIA, MIM, and radformation products is a plus.
