Position Overview:
As part of the talented Operations team, you will function as a subject matter expert for all Distribution Data impacting accuracy, cost and delivery, with particular focus on transactional data (RT, COPICs, Dematic, Aimes McBain, Clippership, etc). The baseline responsibility will be to ensure we are compliant to the Brunswick Cycle Count procedure, including directed and manual cycle counts and rechecks. The focus of the position will be to curate and analyze data to support the Distribution team in driving improvements in inventory and shipping accuracy; reducing costs in labor, fines and shipping rates and improve our on-time and complete order fulfilment.

Essential Functions: 

  • Cycle Count Lead (Stock and WIP)
  • Assigning routine cycle counts (directed and manual) in conjunction with operations leadership team 
  • Investigates high variances throughout the day on cycle count tasks
  • Compiling and distributing rechecks
  • Maintains “score” for cycle counter accuracy based on rechecks
  • Administers cycle count function proficiency test when necessary
  • Leads all activities around Annual Super Cycle and Physical Inventory counts
  • System Maintenance and Stability
  • Maintains and controls guns/RT accounts
  • Controls “trainer logins” and other accounts
  • Maintains and controls COPICs transaction-based screens (ex: IAET)
  • Maintains and controls access to cycle count functions (X, CM, etc.)
  • Manages Negative Inventory and SORCPTs reports
  • Weekly Reviews Inventory in Manufacturing locations in COPICS
  • Confirms that scrap/components are being properly recorded and flushed
  • Maintains list of validated and active locations.
  • Facilitates Continuous Improvement through managing data, creating reports, investigating variances, and identifying root cause and corrective/preventative actions
  • Maintains all cycle count data and analyzes for opportunities for systemic improvement in
  • Accuracy and efficiency of counts.
  • Accuracy of transactional data and procedures
  • Prepares a summary of inventory findings with recommendations on a monthly cadence to leadership and finance.
  • Works in conjunction with operations leaders to identify optimal home locations, zoning, and slotting for most efficient and accurate picking
  • Maintains open locations report and works with leadership to achieve optimal space utilization and identify available capacity and any future requirements for additional capacity
  • Maintains CpM (Cartons per Manhour) data and creates reports to identify future manpower requirements and opportunities for productivity improvements.
  • Maintains data for fines, returns and other quality/accuracy misses and works with leadership team to identity root causes and Corrective/preventative measures to put in place.
  • Works with leadership team to identify new sources of data and opportunities to drive overall improvement in Safety, Quality/Accuracy, on time Delivery, and reduction in Cost/improvement in productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Accounting, or equivalent experience required
  • Combination of 3-5 years experience in Distribution/Production/Inventory Management roles – preferably with some experience in each of these areas.
  • Superior knowledge in ERP systems (COPICs is current environment) and WMS (RT Systems, Dematic, Ames McBain)
  • Demonstrated skills in creating Problem Statements, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Actions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate solution-oriented outlook and resilience. Adapts constructively to pressure, setbacks, challenges
