Maintenance Technician - Kitty Hawk Apartments

Experienced in maintenance and ready to make a difference? Kitty Hawk Apartments is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and keep our community running smoothly!

Pay: $19-21 per hour commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rental units including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
• Respond promptly to service requests and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (turns/make-readies)
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops and storage areas
• Assist with landscaping, snow removal, trash pickup, and exterior upkeep as needed
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as necessary
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies after 90 days
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies
• Other duties assigned


Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of general maintenance experience preferred (apartment or property maintenance a plus)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Basic proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and kneeling
• Excellent customer service and communication skills


Work/Travel Availability
• Must be able to reliably get to and from work
• May be required to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays based on property needs
• May work at one or more nearby apartment communities as assigned
