Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of AI models tailored for financial applications. This role will focus on building Agentic AI solutions to elevate the capabilities of financial institutions in trading, portfolio risk management, and compliance, ensuring the highest standards of responsible AI model transparency and reliability in AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, and implement cutting-edge machine learning models, focusing on NLP, predictive analytics, and AI governance.
• Collaborate with Financial SMEs to ensure AI models align with industry practices and regulatory frameworks.
• Design scalable MLOps pipelines for real-time AI applications.
• Lead the research and deliver agentic AI Systems capable of delivering complex tasks such as optimizing portfolio construction and evolving trading strategies.
• Ensure adherence to Responsible AI principles, prioritizing transparency, fairness, and accountability.
• Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in AI and machine learning, with at least 3 years in the financial sector.
• Good knowledge in at least one of the following applied machine learning fields: Recommender Systems, NLP, Information Retrieval, Causal Inference, Time Series, Knowledge Graph
• Experience with Transformer/Attention architecture for text summarization, vectorization, entity extraction and reasoning
• Superb Python programming skills and experience with data science libraries, e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, writing efficient production-level code, which is well-written and explainable
• Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of financial workflows, including portfolio management and risk assessment.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills and overall decency.
