Who we are looking for
As part of the Investor Relations (IR) team, you’ll be acting as a trusted internal adviser to senior management of the bank, delivering insightful feedback on business performance in the context of the broader financial market. You’ll play an integral role in supporting the Global Head of IR, the wider IR team and State Street executives in preparing for quarterly earnings as well as industry investor conferences and meetings. You will have responsibilities including financial modeling of State Street, consensus aggregation and analysis, and the generation of timely market intelligence and surveillance. The position will work closely with executive management and business unit leaders and coordinate efforts across multiple corporate functions, including Legal, SEC Reporting and Finance. The position requires significant attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, an analytical mindset, an understanding of corporate finance and a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be responsible for
As an Investor Relations, Assistant Vice President you will:
- Attend internal meetings with executive management (CEO, CFO, business unit leads, etc.) to better understand the financial and strategic impact of management actions
- Assist in the development, preparation and management of complex documents such as earnings releases and executive Q&A, as well as presentation materials as required
- Help to create clear and transparent communications regarding the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
- Analyze sell-side analyst models in detail and understand street expectations
- Help in gathering competitive intelligence through research efforts and collaboration with other areas of the firm
- Provide analysis and insights on the company’s competitive position (actual and perceived), strategic advantages, threats and opportunities
- Gather information and insights from quarterly earnings reports, conference presentations and other events, and prepare summary reports for the management

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the following areas: Investor Relations, equity or credit buy-side or sell-side research, corporate finance, or investment banking with a focus on financials
- A high level of numeracy with a knowledge of bank financial analysis and valuation techniques
- CFA or equivalent qualification desirable
- Proven success of being able to work independently with an owner’s mindset, while also being an energetic and collaborative team player with a proactive can-do attitude
- Demonstrate high attention to details and adapt quickly to work in a fast-paced environment
- An uncompromising ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and the highest level of discretion in handling material non-public information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability
