About the role

Description

Summary:  

The Vice President of Quality, Risk Management, Compliance, and Patient Experience plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery, safety, and patient satisfaction at our rural hospital in Maine. This position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the organization. This leadership position oversees and directs the hospital's quality improvement initiatives, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, patient-centered experience, infection prevention, and state licensing’s programs. This position works directly with the Board Quality and Safety Committee for monthly reporting on metrics, measurements, and strategic direction. This position is responsible for annual reporting and routine monitoring of the organization’s quality metrics and outcomes. The Vice President works directly with the partners at the affiliated Accountable Care Organization – Community Care Partnership of Maine (CCPM).

Requirements

  

Education, Training or Certifications Requirements

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification is highly desirable.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare quality management, risk management, or patient experience roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills

Special Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and risk management best practices
  • Knowledge of insurance and claims management is a plus.
  • Project Management, Root Cause Analysis Skills, and Sentinel Event Reporting

Cognitive Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze data and trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
