Senior Software Engineer

Build applications integrating with blockchain technologies and all forms of currencies (traditional as well as crypto). Work with applied scientists and machine learning engineers to build software solutions that power our liquidity services at scale. Mentor other software engineers, setting and demonstrating high standards and technical excellence. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from software design and requirements gathering to unit and integration testing. Integrate with the XRP Ledger, a distributed ledger built on the principles of Blockchain and its native currency XRP, the fastest and most scalable digital asset. Work with teams across the organization, including product, design, marketing, integrations, ops, customer success, and legal. Be a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership and share expertise with a growing team of engineers. Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and drive best practices for coding, testing, and deployment. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more but less than 100% per week within same geographic location as assigned office location.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a Bachelor’s  degree in Computer Science, or a related field and plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive Software Development experience on large scale distributed systems; or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field plus three (3) years  Software Development experience on large scale distributed systems.

Of the required experience, must have three (3) years of experience in at least 4 of the following (which may be gained concurrently): 

• Java
• Go
• Python
• Software testing and deployment 
• Building transactional systems (in finance, banking, or e-commerce domains) backed by an RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle or MS SQL Server), 
• Agile development of distributed services, with a focus on robust software design, scalability and security. 

 

For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is $195,700 - $196,000. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position.
