We have exciting opportunities for a Junior Software Engineer [C++] to join our Engineering Team at McKinney, TX!

The ideal candidate’s duties will include: 

• Design, implement, code, test, document, optimize and support systems integration in support of mission critical advanced surveillance and targeting system solutions. 
• Getting involved from requirements development to flow down process across design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large systems.
• Work occasional overtime to support critical program events.
• Willing to travel < 10% of the time to support
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Basic Qualifications include:

• Minimum 1.5 years experience supporting and developing software systems.
• Experience with C/C++ and Ada or similar
• Education: Bachelor's Degree with 1.5 years of relevant software development experience
• Clearance and Citizenship Requirement:  Must have current/active DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Highly Preferred Qualifications include:

• Experience developing C, C++ Code
• Experience working in Agile environment
• Internship(s) in product engineering or embedded software development
• Academic projects in EE/CE disciplines

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
