Salary Range: $130-140K</p>

<p>About the Role: Tulzi is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you<strong> </strong>will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with VMware<br />
vSphere, including vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, HA, and DRS. This role requires a strong foundation in Linux engineering, containerization technologies, and proficiency in applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). This roles core responsibility revolves around empowering development<br />
teams with a robust platform that streamlines processes and enhances collaboration.<br />
<br />
Responsibilities:<br />
• Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related components.<br />
• Manage, create golden images, and utilize automation to maintain Windows and Linux servers, both physical and virtual.<br />
• Design, implement, and optimize Linux server environments across physical and virtual infrastructures, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and enterprise-level security standards.<br />
• Implement and manage storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) solutions.<br />
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.<br />
• Proactively monitor system performance and capacity, and implement optimizations as needed. Monitor the environment for performance metrics and alerts, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.<br />
• Collaborate with other IT team members on infrastructure projects and initiatives using effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.<br />
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.<br />
• Apply DISA STIGs to ensure compliance with security standards and policies across all cloud and containerized environments.<br />
• Ensure system designs adhere to DoD security standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.<br />
• Define and execute test plans to verify system functionality against requirements and validate overall system performance.<br />
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.<br />
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an evolving environment.<br />
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members on best practices, Linux engineering, and VMware methodologies.<br />
<br />
Required Qualifications:<br />
• 5+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and supporting large infrastructures.<br />
• Extensive experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter administration, virtual machines, networking, and storage.<br />
• Intermediate to senior level experience with Linux administration and engineering.<br />
• Demonstrated experience with Linux shell scripting and automation tools.<br />
• Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance troubleshooting.<br />
• Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, with an innovative mindset.<br />
<br />
Preferred Qualifications:<br />
• Expert-level knowledge of core Windows Server services including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GP, and IIS.<br />
• Working knowledge of VAST Data, Pure Storage, and Dell Data Domain systems.<br />
• Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.<br />
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.<br />
• Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other cybersecurity frameworks.<br />
• Demonstrated experience with Windows PowerShell automation and Desired State Configuration.</p>
