About the Role
The Senior Design Researcher position at Walmart conducts UX research that influences our product roadmaps and informs design. You represent the perspective of our users to help understand their needs, motivations and pain points.
The role responsibilities include the ability to run workshops, conduct generative and evaluative research, story-telling and presenting deliverables to executives.

- A strong working knowledge and experience with both generative and evaluative research methods, including how to apply them in a fast-moving organization.
- Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Social Sciences, Market Research, or a related field with 3-5 years of job experience.
- The ability to work without close supervision but you seek out and welcome feedback from senior leaders and managers.
- Ability to produce great work in short timeframe and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.
- A self-starter mindset who is well organized and always looking to improve things.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Pulling from a broad toolkit of research methods, including live studies, un-moderated studies, field studies, participatory design, heuristic evaluations, and remote usability testing.
- Prioritizing initiatives with key stakeholders.
- Proactively soliciting and leveraging competitive research, data, and analytics to inform design and business strategy.
- Championing the Design Thinking philosophy while collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.
- Communicating effectively with kindness and empathy including strong presentation skills.
