Warehouseman

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouseman to join our team. The Warehouseman will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and storing inventory, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Receiving and Storing Inventory:

 

Unload incoming shipments from trucks or other delivery vehicles.Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders or invoices.Store inventory in designated locations using appropriate storage methods.

 

Picking and Packing Orders:

Accurately pick products from inventory according to customer orders.Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.Prepare orders for shipment, including creating shipping labels and manifests.

Deliveries:

Able to drive company truck to deliver materials to job sites

Inventory Management:

Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory.Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.Maintain warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues.Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Previous warehouse experience preferred but not necessary as long as ability to learn and good work ethicAbility to lift heavy objects.Strong attention to detail.

Computer skills - able to work with a computer effectively.  Use of email and Apps and able to read and update spreadsheets

Communcation skills - able to communicate effectively in email and able to talk with internal customers

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Forklift certification preferred.
