PHYSICAL SCIENTIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring command compliance to federal, state, and local environmental planning protection regulations, policies and procedures; 2) Managing environmental projects and programs to support and sustain the commands environmental missions and multi-media environmental compliance on specific functions (i.e. drinking water, wastewater, hazardous material, pollution, air, etc.); 3) Developing alternative processes and procedures for deficiencies identified during environmental inspections; and 4) Assessing the impact of conditions and actions on public safety, ecology, and environment involving matters directly or closely related to public welfare and protection.; 5) Understanding the organization's financial processes/systems in regard to planning, programming, budgeting and execution of the environmental programs.
