Position/Job Summary:
The Home Study and Post Release Services (HSPRS) is a service that helps unaccompanied children and their sponsors transition to new communities; the program is designed to ensure the child's safety and well-being. The Business Operations Director is responsible for supervising the Business Coordinators and all facets of internal and external business relationships and operations for all three HSPRS locations to include (1) Program Management (2) Coordination (3) Quality Assurance (4) Resource Allocation (5) Training and Support (6) Compliance (7) Managing Projects. This role will collaborate with the Division Director, Program Directors, Administration, and other program personnel to cultivate and guarantee effective and streamlined business operations. This role collaborates with all stakeholders to address business requirements and facilitates the program's effective interaction with both Morrison departments and external constituents. Position/Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
- Oversees the Home Study and Post Release Services (PRS) program, ensuring it operates efficiently.
- Develops operational structure and oversees business operations of the three HSPRS locations.
- Provides leadership and guidance oversight of Critical incident reporting.
Ensures that contractors are supported, and contracts are developed, monitored and maintained. - Manages HSPRS office facilities, coordinating with the facilities department, landlords, and program staff Serves as the administrator for ORR’s Electronic Health Records (UAC Portal / PATH).
- Assists with special projects within the ORR program or Agency wide.
- Serves as the HSPRS representative or appoints a designee to participate on agency committees and workgroups such as, Agency Quality Improvement, Sanctuary Core Team, and others as needed.
- Provides leadership, guidance and demonstrates a commitment to learning and implementing the Sanctuary.
- Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to equity and inclusion in the workplace; models appropriate behaviors; develop, recommend, and implement improvements to business practices with awareness and understanding of the impact in a trauma-informed and culturally diverse organization.
- Managing and leading the division when the Division Director is on vacation, training, etc.
Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and making improvements based on feedback and outcomes. - Completes other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department.
Supervisory Oversight:
- Provide supervision and manage employee performance, including support plans and disciplinary actions, for the Business Coordinator as indicated.
- Conduct and document individual supervisory session and group supervisory sessions, as directed by program and agency procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with each team member to support professional development and individual accountability.
- Assign daily tasks to business coordinator based on program needs.
- Make hiring decisions for administrative staff and business coordinators if needed.
Coordination & Collaboration:
- Collaborates with the Division Director and assigned staff on all aspects of program start-ups and changes.
- Collaborates with the Project Officer and ORR Grants Officer on fiscal reporting for continued funding.
- Coordinates with all Morrison departments to ensure effective and efficient business practices.
- Coordinates with stakeholders to enhance customer service, developing contracts and managing compliance.
Quality Assurance, Reports & Reviews:
- Implements and monitors quality standards to ensure that services meet the needs of children and sponsors.
