We’re a small, friendly family-run business looking for a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys designing practical, innovative machinery and wants to be part of a supportive, close-knit company where their ideas really matter. If you’re a creative problem solver with a good eye for detail and a passion for engineering design, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Using Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Autodesk Inventor to produce high-quality 3D machinery designs,
  • assemblies, and components.
  • Creating and developing sheet metal designs, including folded panels, brackets, frames, and enclosures —
  • from concept through to flat pattern manufacture.
  • Producing clear, accurate 2D drawings to support equipment proposals and technical documentation.
  • Developing process flow diagrams and layout drawings to help visualize systems and processes.
  • Producing technical images and renderings for manuals, data sheets, and customer-facing materials.
  • Preparing detailed components and production drawings directly from 3D models, ensuring they are ready
  • for fabrication or machining.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to review designs, optimize manufacturability, and ensure everything
  • meets practical, safety, and quality standards.
  • Managing and maintaining drawing files and revision control to keep project documentation organized and
  • up to date.

Requirements

  • You have experience using Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software.
  • You have a solid understanding of sheet metal design, including bending, folding, and fabrication principles.
  • You’re confident producing both 3D models and 2D drawings to a high professional standard.
  • You have a good grasp of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • You’re detail-oriented, organized, and take pride in producing accurate, well-presented work.
  • You communicate clearly and enjoy being part of a small, friendly team that values collaboration and initiative.
  • Experience designing machinery or process equipment is a bonus, but we’re open to all backgrounds if you have the right attitude and skills.
