The Senior Director of Technology Integrations will be responsible for spearheading the strategic planning, execution, and management of technology integrations for acquisitions, with a primary focus on the migration and implementation of Clinical Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and technical hardware integrations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and healthcare industry knowledge to drive seamless integration and interoperability of clinical systems, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Direct team in analyzing and redesigning clinical workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and redundancies
• Implement standardized procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and reduce variability in patient care
• Leverage reports and data to identify areas of opportunity for optimization in clinical systems and/or workflows.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology integration strategy aligned with Millennium's clinical and operational goals.
• Lead the planning and execution of EHR migration projects in collaboration with the Information Systems and Clinical Informatics team to ensure alignment with clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with CIT Senior Leadership to define technology priorities and drive initiatives that enhance provider efficiency, patient care, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of an integration/acquisition from the Technology and EHR perspective, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure post-live.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage project risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure healthcare regulations and standards compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and direction for the hardware components, including computers, printers, phones, faxes, and peripherals.
• Provide technical leadership and direction for EHR migration projects, ensuring robust data migration, system integration, and interoperability for providers to have full chart access and historical data.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions and vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational, security, and clinical requirements.
• Implement and maintain data security and privacy measures to protect patient health information (PHI).
• Develop and implement a Go Live support model from technology implementation to EHR coaching and onboarding support post-integration to phase out to transfer to operational status.
• Oversee the applications and workflow coaching programs to ensure clinical and clerical staff are adequately prepared for EHR Go Live.
• Provide hands-on support during the Go Live phase, addressing technical issues and optimizing system performance.
• Facilitate training sessions and create resources to support staff in adapting to new workflows and technologies.
• Collaborate with CIT leadership and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure technology solutions meet user requirements.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among diverse teams, promoting a unified approach to technology integration.
• Serve as a liaison between CIT, operations, and business development to ensure smooth communication and understanding of project goals and timelines.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of integration projects.
• Monitor system performance and user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.
• Ensure ongoing support and maintenance of integrated systems, addressing any issues that arise postimplementation until transferred to operational status.
• In conjunction with the CIO, ensure all strategic organizational initiatives are considered.
• Stay on top of emerging and leading Healthcare IT trends and make recommendations on new technologies and processes.
• Serve as the liaison between the organizational staff/Provider (customer) requirements, system, and technology capabilities.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
