SCADP is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment.
PAY RATE: $92924.14 - $97814.88 Per Year

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Under the clinical supervision of the Clinical Director and the operations supervision of the Program Manager, the Clinician will assess clients, evaluate medical necessity for SUD treatment services and provide therapeutic counseling. The Clinician shall work in collaboration with key program staff to assist in meeting the overall needs of beneficiaries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform client screening, intake, orientation, and assessment functions necessary to complete admission to the residential program, and screen for continuing stay criteria based on ASAM Criteria.
- Assesses for medical necessity for SUD treatment and complete diagnosis based on DSM 5 evaluation.
- Ensure adherence to DMC-ODS Waiver, Title XXII, CARF standards, and HIPAA.
- Provides treatment planning using the ASAM Criteria at 30 day intervals following the initial assessment to measure change and guide continuing care or aftercare plans.
- Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence based practice protocols.
- Provide individual, group and family therapeutic counseling
- Provides complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA.
- Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed
- Act as client advocate to agencies and persons when appropriate.
- Maintains the dignity and personal rights of all clients as highlighted by deploying clear and skilled crisis communication, evasion techniques when participants display hostile or volatile behaviors.
- Develops positive workplace relationships with staff and peers by participation in professional development events and offering appropriate support while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Participates in routine clinical supervision or consultation with Clinical Director
- Attend staff meetings, case conferences, required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.
- Assist with training and education projects for staff, residents and community
- Serve as role model through positive, appropriate conduct and participation in agency events

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
EDUCATION:
- Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology (or related discipline) from an accredited graduate school.
- Current state license or intern number required from California BBS (LMFT, LCSW, or AMFT or ASW registration)
EXPERIENCE:
- Experienced with moderate to severe mental health symptoms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification by an approved
