Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Verification Post in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and access control systems, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access records, and communicate clearly with site contacts, employees, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report security-related issues or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
