Product & engineering work toward delivering a powerful yet flexible technology platform keeping the needs of the end customer in mind. Our development teams ensure that all the codes are delivered with the highest quality. Product managers are home to technical experts who work together to design and build our software and product roadmap, whereas our QA team is constantly aimed at enhancing the quality of our platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
Team and Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Analyst - Quality Assurance, FinTech to join our team. This is a diverse role that entails collaboration with product managers, business analysts, and application developers. Such interaction with different departments and diverse projects creates a challenging and multi-dimensional work environment. The candidate’s primary responsibility is to support various QA activities.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a dynamic team of quality assurance engineers, collaborating with product managers, business analysis, and application developers
- Assure quality and stability of Nasdaq software solutions by understanding business and functional requirements and designing test cases to ensure the correctness of implementation and capture defects within the solution under minimal supervision
- Moderate complexity tasks based on the regulatory, design, and testing guidelines where you are expected to exercise good judgment in determining appropriate actions, under minimal supervision
- Execution of functional and regression test cases and testing corrections of regulatory changes, bugs, and enhancements as part of regular releases as well as when delivering client hotfixes
- After initial tests are complete, test functionality and performance on different platforms (Sybase, MSSQL, etc.) based on project demands determined by PM
- Document test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios and maintain the test management system under the lead’s minimal supervision
- Create, upgrade, and maintain test environments and relevant test data
Skills And Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Intermediate+)
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of Jira, Zephyr, Xray
- Experience with SQL Queries
- Good understanding of the phases of SDLC
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodologies
- Experience with various phases of the test lifecycle (test case/checklist development, test execution, defect tracking)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
- Experience in financial services, accounting, capital markets, or fintech, is a plus
