LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Supervisor to join our team at 25500 Rancho Niguel Road Suite 240 Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 6:00am – 6:00pm based on coverage needs; Weekend hours may be required as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of approximately 30 or more phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices in South OC market Laguna Hills, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Foothill Ranch, San Clemente area
  • Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
  • Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
  • Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
  • Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules, and performance appraisals
  • Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
  • Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
  • Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
  • Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
  • Perform, collect, and prepare specimens when needed
  • Travel to additional sites as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of experience supervisory role
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree
  • 4 or more years of experience as phlebotomist 
  • 3 or more years of experience supervisory role

Additional Job Standards:

  •  Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to cover a geographic territory of approximately 75 miles
  • Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Be at least 21 years
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record

As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will lead a team of Phlebotomists and directly impact the Patient/Client experience. You will manage and oversee all aspects of our LabCorp patient service centers and designated client locations. This role emphasizes your ability to lead, inspire, and develop others.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. Phlebotomist Supervisor may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $81,795 annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
