Job Overview

Reporting to the VP of Program Management, the Program Manager will bring a software engineering mindset and apply critical thinking to continuously improve the way we implement Majesco software for our customers.  

The ideal candidate:

  • Has successfully managed complex software implementation programs in the Property & Casualty and/or Life, Annuity and Health Insurance domains.
  • Is effective at driving work to completion by collaborating with Majesco and customer teams.
  • Leverages data and metrics to gain insight into delivery performance and to apply improvement levers.
  • Takes the extra step to gain a firsthand understanding of delivery progress.
  • Can clearly & independently communicate with Majesco and customer executive leaders.
  • Will apply a coaching mindset to increase the skill level of the program leads.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a complex program or several implementation programs and meeting scope, schedule, and financial goals.
  • Provide day-today guidance to the program team, leads and scrum master to ensure program goals are met.
  • Review detailed program delivery metrics and identify trends, risks, and issues.
  • Drive risks and issues to closure.
  • Identify and implement new techniques to deliver higher quality output with lower effort.
  • Assess team skills and work with internal centers of excellence to provide feedback and coaching programs to increase team member capabilities and performance.
  • Create executive level communications that describe program delivery health and performance.
  • Leads internal project review meetings with Majesco executive leadership.
  • Drive optimization and best practices across program teams
  • Share best practices and led internal initiatives outside of the scope of day-to-day program/project management responsibilities

All About You

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience with 5+ years in Project Management.
  • Extensive experience delivering packaged software or Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) solutions in an Agile environment is strongly preferred.
  • Property & Casualty and/or Life, Annuity and Health Insurance experience across various Lines of Business (Commercial and or Personal Lines).
  • Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent required with PMP and/or Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Jira (or similar tools) is required.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to software delivery and identify improvements to velocity, quality, cost of delivery, efficient resource utilization, and solution scalability.
  • Ability to create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ability to apply project control activities such as change, risk and issue management to ensure an on time/on budget delivery. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, appropriate to the audience.
  • Ability to increase team member skills through coaching, mentoring, formal training, and other techniques.

What Majesco Offers:

Majesco is committed to equal pay and transparency.  The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000.  

Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.  Majesco considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
