Key Responsibilities:

  • Development, validation and implementation of onwing inspection applications including advanced borescope concepts

  • Integration of eddy current, ultrasonics and FPI with visual aids as necessary to address onwing accessibility

  • Project management for external contracts with EVMS reporting.

  • Working with International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) hardware; therefore there could be 10% travel including domestic and international military bases

  • Additional responsibility may include coordination of fabrication at qualified suppliers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Physics

  • 2+ years of experience as an engineer working in a laboratory, with manufacturing processes or overhaul and repair of aerospace products

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance due to contract requirements; candidates with active security clearance are preferred.

  • NDE, measurement / instrumentation, design, and report writing

  • The ability to work well in production & overhaul environments

  • A strong interest in innovative mechanical / electrical devices and working hands-on.

  • Excellent judgment and professional maturity

  • The ability to create positive relationships with highly skilled technicians and internal and external customers

  • The ability to craft clear communication

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
