Role/ Department:
Due to a significant increase in workload especially in the area of regulatory reporting analysis we need to recruit a graduate trainee in the Brokerage Product Owner team
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Partners with Product Management and Business stakeholders to influence, support, and champion product vision and roadmaps, and to coordinate value realization across teams beyond their direct responsibility
- Anticipates potential future client needs and proactively positions product capabilities to take advantage of business opportunities
- Maintains a well-groomed backlog of development items to be used for efficient implementation of projects
- Influences the shape and champions the adoption of automated testing frameworks; reviews and agrees acceptance criteria for new development and signs off on business-readiness, in coordination with quality assurance team members
- Face off to Feature Team Business Owner
- Agree catalogue priorities
- Provide estimates and costs
- Provide ongoing progress updates
- Discuss timescales and resource constraints
- Provide product demos
- Discuss phased delivery
- Manage Feature Team Priorities and Work Items with Technology
- Be responsible for delivery of the requirement as it moves through the sprint cycle from development to testing to go-live
- Add JIRA’s to sprints and provide feedback to Business owners regarding effort and delivery dates
- Discuss effort with development and add estimates to JIRAs
- Document requirements and raise JIRAs
- Face off to business users to capture detailed global requirements
- Update technology on Business Owners priorities
- Documentation and Testing
- Work with the test team to script the changes for initial delivery and then discuss automation and regression
- Document changes and educate support team and the business. Each major delivery or change will be included in a ‘Quick Reference Guide (QRG)’
- Assist support teams in each region post go-live
Skills/ Qualifications:
- No prior product or business knowledge is required and on the job training will be given
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn and a high level of enthusiasm is needed
- Comfortable operating in a technical environment involving complex business logic and its programmatic implementation
- A strong work ethic
- The ability to listen to advice, absorb and react to it
- Be able to adapt to different situations and take ownership of issues
- Good communication skills
Salary Range:
$60,720 - 91,080 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement
