As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will serve as the regional lead for all Indirect Sourcing categories across EMEA—including IT Services, Facilities, Marketing, Professional Services, and Regional Clinic Support. You will own the entire Indirect Sourcing portfolio, developing and executing category strategies, driving supplier performance, and ensuring excellence in cost, quality, service, and compliance. Reporting to the Global Director of Indirect Sourcing (US), you’ll ensure regional strategies are closely aligned with global procurement objectives. You will be responsible for identifying value-creation opportunities, managing complex sourcing events, and supporting business and regulatory requirements across diverse EMEA markets.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Regional Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Lead, develop, and manage sourcing strategies for Indirect Sourcing categories within the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and global sourcing direction, while serving as the primary regional point of contact for all Indirect Sourcing activities to provide cohesive category management across multiple countries and business units
  • Supplier Management and Contracting:Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cost-effectiveness across all categories. Oversee end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFPs, negotiations, vendor evaluation, and contract development, and lead negotiations for major regional contracts with a focus on value creation, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and consistency across EMEA markets. Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Quality teams to ensure contracts meet all standards, establish and manage regional SLAs and KPIs to monitor supplier performance, and proactively identify and mitigate supplier risks to support continuity and contingency planning throughout the region
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership: Foster collaborative, strategic relationships with key business stakeholders across IT, R&D, Finance, Legal, Facilities, Marketing, Quality, and Compliance, serving as a trusted regional advisor and sourcing leader for both business partners and global Sourcing leadership. Manage project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and communication for all indirect sourcing initiatives, while tracking and reporting on regional savings, value realization, and program status to senior leadership
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, regional supplier landscapes, and regulatory changes relevant to managed category’s sourcing activities
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing processes, supplier performance, and cost savings
  • Lead and develop a small team, providing guidance, support, and ensuring effective collaboration to achieve objectives

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience with 2+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 2+ years of managerial experience., ideally within healthcare or life sciences
  • Proven experience managing multi-country regional sourcing and complex supplier negotiations across EMEA
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English and Dutch; additional European languages are a plus
  • Ability to operate within a global procurement organization and work effectively with the Global Director of Indirect Sourcing and other global stakeholders
