About the role

Summary                                              

Participates in portfolio construction and ongoing portfolio management. Maintains a current body of knowledge of economic and financial market trends and conditions and their impact on portfolio construction.  Prepares presentations and compiles supporting information for current clients and develops new business by promoting investment management services.

 

Essential Function

Banking is a highly regulated industry, and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing.  You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Possesses a working knowledge of investment management.

Prepares and maintains data on current and prospective investments.

Maintains a current body of knowledge of economic trends and conditions.

Familiarity with fiduciary principals and prudent investing concepts.

Participates in the preparation and presentation of reports to existing clients and new business proposals.

 

Other Qualifications                                        

Knowledge of fixed income securities and their inclusion in an investment portfolio.

Proficiency in mathematics, accounting, finance, and economics.

Strong business development tools

 

Other Skills and Abilities                                                 

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively.

Skills in relevant information technology to support portfolio management and business development responsibilities.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Finance or related discipline.

Minimum of five years of Portfolio Management experience with a Trust Department or Asset Management Company.

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.
