Your new role

As our new Consultant, you will be part of a young, dynamic and growing team working with European institutions and stakeholders on policy consultancy, evaluations and impact assessments across a variety of policy areas, including migration and home affairs, employment, justice, education and culture, mobility and transport, and customs and taxation.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Playing a key role in the evaluation and assessment of the impact of policies in the EU in line with the European Commission’s Better Regulation Guidelines
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities, including by drafting proposals
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day management of projects under the supervision of more senior staff; your responsibilities will cover the whole project cycle, from project initiation to completion
  • Designing and coordinating evaluation, impact, research and consultancy projects under the supervision of more senior staff; to this end, you will plan and execute qualitative and quantitative data collection and evidence gathering activities, stakeholder consultations, strategy and planning processes, and analyses spanning multiple policy areas and countries
  • Maintaining relationships with our clients, stakeholders and network of partners and experts

Your new team

You will be part of Ramboll Management Consulting Belgium. Our multidisciplinary and multilingual team is based in Brussels and works closely with the European institutions to bring sound and sustainable policy advice based on robust evidence. The Socio-Economic Impacts division that you will be part of has been conducting evaluations and impact assessments of policies at the EU level for over thirty years across a variety of policy domains.

About you

These include:

  • A Master's degree in political science, economics, law, social science, social policy or a similar field
  • At least three years of experience in evaluation/impact assessment and management consultancy, including proposal development, project management, research and analysis
  • Proven experience working on complex evaluations and impact assessments, covering a variety of policy interventions, and knowledge of the EU Better Regulation Guidelines
  • Proven experience coordinating commercial proposals, projects, and teams
  • Detailed knowledge of EU strategies, policies and funding instruments (directives, regulations, financial instruments, funds), notably in the migration and home affairs, employment and social affairs, justice and/or education policy areas. Willingness and enthusiasm to work across a variety of policy areas is required
  • Strong analytical skills and drafting capabilities, including proven experience analysing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to maintain relationships with clients and partners
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral, and fluency in at least one more EU language
