This role will be supporting our Advanced Manufacturing Technology Organization. This position will be located in St. Augustine, FL.
As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology assembly & development team, you will define, develop, and directly support and ensure the successful implementation of new solution capabilities released to production, and specification requirements to best utilize resources and manufacturing techniques. You will be managing budgets, schedules, and quality for the Assembly Manufacturing Technology thrust area and you will be the direct interface for transferring these developed technologies onto the production line with a systems integration, verification, and validation approach.
This position will require 25% travel and the qualified applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Program Special Access over multiple platforms.
In addition, you will identify and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure research and development contractual obligations (technical, schedule, and cost) are met and product quality is maintained. You will provide guidance regarding design concepts, TRL/MRL maturity, and specification requirements to best utilize resources and manufacturing techniques, and ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. This role involves interfacing with internal and external customers, program offices, engineering disciplines, and all levels of management. In addition, the role will require the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic/fast-paced work environment. Budgeting and Project Management skills will be utilized to properly scope and execute assigned work and manage project efforts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology team, you will be involved with all aspects of the Manufacturing Technology Development cycle.
- Identify customer needs, define requirements, technical planning and documentation (generate statements of work, requirements documents test plans)
- Identify and develop innovative solutions leveraging technology to meet customer needs.
- Manage project cost (spending, charging, implementation, savings and return on investment) and schedule (develop project deliverables and detail plans including but limited to IMS project schedules, status and visibility, roadmaps, spend plans)
- Manufacturing system development/integration, verification and validation, and implementation, identify and mitigate program risk and capture opportunity impacts.
- Follow projects through all manufacturing readiness level phases: concept development, design, fabrication/assembly/test at lab level, production environment demo, full production operations implementation (TTP Transition to Production), sustainment/maintenance/ continuous improvement.
- Ability to work a 4/10 shift schedule.
- Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, engineering, production, customers, and suppliers.
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Liaison Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
