Our investment product is available Europe-wide, and we’re actively expanding our loan product footprint to 11 new countries.</p> <p>Join us on this journey and let’s build the future of finance together!</p><h2><span>What is this role about?</span></h2> <p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Lawyer</strong> to join our legal team and play a key role in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting the growth of our business in Spain<strong>. </strong>This role is ideal for a business-oriented legal advisor who can navigate regulatory frameworks while driving innovation and competitiveness. You will collaborate closely with multiple departments, ensuring legal security and compliance in a fast-paced, evolving environment.</p> <p><strong>Your main responsibilities will be:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as a business-oriented legal advisor, balancing compliance with competitiveness and identifying innovative solutions to drive business forward.</li> <li>Draft, advise on, update, implement, and ensure compliance with loan agreements and related documentation for the Spanish market.</li> <li>Track changes in industry legislation and ensure timely implementation.</li> <li>Negotiate, prepare, and evaluate legal documents for business partnerships, vendors, and subcontractors in Spain.</li> <li>Guide the Country Manager and legal team in compliance and legal matters.</li> <li>Cooperate with internal departments and stakeholders to provide legal expertise.</li> <li>Handle customer complaints, regulatory queries, and assist the debt recovery team, ensuring the company’s interests are protected.</li> <li>Perform additional legal tasks as needed in the scope of the role.</li> </ul> <h2><span>What would ensure success in this role?</span></h2> <ul> <li>Master of Laws degree obtained in Spain and 5+ years of experience in a similar role (in-house or law firm), including internships.</li> <li>A deep understanding of Spanish consumer credit regulations and the ability to ensure regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills applicable to business agreements and partnerships.</li> <li>Ability to manage and resolve customer complaints while protecting the company’s interests.</li> <li>Experience advising cross-functional teams on compliance and legal matters.</li> <li>Proficiency in analyzing legislative changes and implementing necessary adjustments.</li> <li>Excellent spoken and written Spanish and English.</li> </ul> <h2><span>What can you expect at Bondora? </span></h2> <ul> <li>Contribute to Bondora’s ambitious goal of reaching €1BN in revenue.
