Accounting Manager

OVERVIEW

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to join our Finance team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for cash management including disbursements, currency exposure, & cash forecasting. This role will develop & analyze overhead and VSE budgets. This role is responsible for maintenance of SAP Accounting Master Data and should be an SAP Super User classified to lead SAP enhancements and upgrades. This role will support manufacturing overhead budgets & reporting. This role will be responsible for Credit Management and lead month-end reporting; Balance Sheet quality and manage Balance Sheet account reconciliation process. The incumbent will communicate monthly spending against budgets with appropriate department personnel and provide ad hoc analytical support as required. This role will develop and implement policies and procedures, lead internal control audit and review and year end audit. This role is responsible for Fixed Assets including new requests, inventory and appropriate capital accounting and provide direction and supervision of 4-5 employees. Lastly, the incumbent will lead specific projects as assigned and support Brand Manager in development and execution of new products to deliver against innovation vision and pipeline, while adhering to internal processes. Additional Responsibilities include:

• Review, prepare, and analyze warehousing overhead budgets and support latest forecasting requirements. 
• Lead year-end and month end closing processes.  Multi-departmental budgeting, analyzing, interpreting, and considering requester per company guidelines. Prepare policies and implement procedures to support them.
• Supervise Accounting staff on day-to-day activities and provide guidance as needed.
• Responsible for SAP accounting Master Data as well as implementing SAP enhancements.
• Review and assist with any investment projects issues.
• Support outside Firms with preparation of tax return information and YE audit requirements.
• Accounting lead for duty and custom issues and other duty/import reporting requirements.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Supervision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit management.
• Must have advanced knowledge of SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel required.
• Must have experience reconciling and analyzing accounts as well as leading budget processes (collecting financial data).
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to organize data from multiple sources to develop strategies and drive decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective verbal, written and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across departments.
