ABOUT HETCH HETCHY WATER AND POWER
This position is located within Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, and the reporting location is in Moccasin, CA (located 140 miles east of the San Francisco Bay Area; requires a 5-hour round trip commute by car in fair weather).

Job Description

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of facility and fleet maintenance operations. This leadership role encompasses a broad and complex set of responsibilities, including prioritizing and scheduling maintenance tasks, high voltage maintenance, managing team workload, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and overseeing key projects in addition to the rollout and implementation of (EV) initiatives across the fleet.

 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages the Carpenters, Painters, Utility Mechanics, Electricians, and Electronic Maintenance Technicians.
  • Manages, organizes, and plans complex maintenance and repair activities, overseeing multiple workgroups.
  • Analyzes and mitigates risk in regard to safety, personnel and competing maintenance projects.
  • Identifies in efficiencies and forecasts project problems and work towards continual process improvement.
  • Participates in developing prioritization of facility maintenance and repair activities.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications reflect the lowest level of acceptable education and/or experience required of an individual such that the individual reasonably could be expected to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.  Candidates must meet all the requirements established by the MQs to be considered for the position. 

  • Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. AND
  • Experience: Four (4) years of professional or journey level work experience in maintenance, operations or documenting procedures for facilities, equipment, or rights of way associated with a utility that generates and or transmits power or operates a large water conveyance system.
  • Substitution: Substitution: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis, up to four years.
