Job Description
As the ASIC Project Technical Leader at SanDisk, you will be responsible for the development of high-performance ASICs from conception to implementation. Your leadership and technical expertise will be crucial in guiding the project through its entire lifecycle, from defining project specifications to overseeing mass production. This role demands a high level of competence and dedication to advancing technological innovation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the comprehensive SoC development process for ASIC controllers utilized in SanDisk storage products.
- Engage in critical collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to translate SanDisk storage product requirements into precise ASIC project requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate effectively with SoC Design, SoC Design Verification, ASIC Validation, DFT, Physical Design, Hardware, Mixed Signal IPs, Foundry, Program Management, Firmware, System Design, Product and Test Engineering teams to deliver superior SoC solutions and industry-leading products.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for all project-related decisions and trade-offs.
- Execute thorough technical project reviews and risk assessments, implementing robust mitigation strategies. Provide essential technical leadership and oversight throughout the project development cycle.
- Maintain and enforce the highest industry standards and best practices in ASIC design development. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering an environment of professional collaboration and technological innovation. Deliver clear, concise, and impactful project updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in ASIC project development with a proven record of successful project completions is essential.
- Proficiency in thriving within high-pressure, dynamic environments is crucial.
- In-depth understanding of PCIe, DDR, ONFI, and related peripherals is mandatory.
- Superior leadership abilities, advanced communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal aptitude are imperative.
- Strategic thinking capabilities coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and technical project management are vital.
PREFERRED:
- Extensive experience in low-power design techniques and methodologies is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive command of PCIe Gen6 or higher, and DDR4 or higher is strongly preferred.
