About the role
Trinity Hunt Partners is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to drive acquisition strategy and execution across a portfolio company. As a key leader, the CDO will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing M&A transactions while building and leading a high-performing deal team. This role requires a strong ability to develop relationships, manage deal flow, and align M&A strategy with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- M&A Strategy & Sourcing – Develop and refine the acquisition strategy, proactively identifying and engaging with sellers, brokers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Deal Execution – Oversee the full transaction lifecycle, including valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
- Leadership & Team Building – Build and mentor a high-performing M&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with the C-Suite, Board of Directors, and investors to align M&A activity with broader growth objectives.
- Post-Close Integration – Support acquired companies in their transition, ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or M&A leadership roles.
- Proven track record of executing and integrating acquisitions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience working within private equity-backed platforms or high-growth environments is preferred.
