Build high-quality, fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Utilize advanced knowledge of Agile Architecture to design the fundamental organization of a system embodied by its components, their relationships to each other, and to the environment to guide its emergent design and evolution. Utilize complex API-First Development where requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing and cross-functional teams and their users to construct well designed technical solutions. Recommend state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computer equipment. Remain passionate about great technologies, especially open source. Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility, and maintain strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices. Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls against established industry frameworks and regulations to assess adherence with legal and regulatory requirements as part of Regulatory Risk Compliance Management. Perform Solution Functional Fit Analysis and Solution Modeling to create, design, and formulate models and to study how well the component parts were design, purchased, and configured in order to meet business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements. Take a system from coping requirements through actual launch of the system. Communicate with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlines. Ensure adherence to professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations. Develop complex software solutions by conferring with users and studying comprehensive systems flow, data usage and work processes. Install software applications and be part of the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate the integration of code changes and the delivery of software updates by using tools like GitHub Actions, Copado, Jenkins, SonarQube & Code Scan. Provide coaching to other developers on the DevOps process and DevOps Development Practices. Demonstrate DevOps abilities by completing certifications in Azure Fundamentals, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for DevOps, PO/PM & Teams, Linux Command Cert, Copado Fundamentals I & II and Veracode.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience as a Software or Systems Engineer, or related position. Experience to include: Agile Architecture; API-First Development; Regulatory Risk Compliance Management; Solution Functional Fit Analysis and Solution Modeling; Software development life cycle; Coding standards, code reviews, source control management; Develop software solutions and install software applications; Test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software; DevOps Development Practices.
