Building/Groundskeeper Maint - 1st Shift

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs, and landscaping tasks, while maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This team member will provide service to the facility in regard to general upkeep of its’ grounds and buildings.

Requirements:

• Applicants are required to submit a complete application to include all work history with dates, job skills, and education.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Application/resume must show work experience or training in these areas:
  • Must have 2 years of experience or education in at least one (1) of the following areas:
    • Carpentry
    • 110/220 electrical
    • Concrete masonry
    • Pipe insulation
    • Painting
    • Plumbing
• At least six months of continuous work history with the same employer within the last twelve months.
• Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of TMs from Hourly to upper Management and Government Officials.
• Must be able to read manuals and printed directions to repair equipment and use cleaners, solvents, and paints.
• Must be willing and able to work any department or shift.
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 plus pounds as necessary.
• Must be willing and able to stand 8 to 12 hours a day on hard floors.
• Must be willing and able to work in confined spaces and working at heights above the normal work area; use of ladders, lifts, and scaffolds; as well as any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Work in extreme hot or cold temperatures.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
