The Pharmacy Clinical Advisor Lead is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of pharmacy programs that advance clinical and operational excellence in alignment with organizational objectives. This position emphasizes effective program execution, staff training, and close collaboration with Associate Directors of Pharmacy to ensure the highest quality delivery of pharmacy services. Please note, this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Design, plan, and execute pharmacy programs aligned with organizational strategies and regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless program rollout and integration within existing workflows.
    • Monitor adherence to established protocols and identify areas for program optimization.
  • Training and Professional Development
    • Develop, update, and deliver comprehensive training curricula and resources to pharmacists to ensure understanding and effective adoption of program initiatives.
    • Assess training needs and tailor educational activities to address identified gaps in knowledge or practice.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Collaboration and Care Integration Team Engagement
    • Partner with Associate Directors of Pharmacy and other key stakeholders to facilitate program implementation, solicit feedback, and align initiatives with departmental objectives.
    • Organize and lead training, working groups, and collaborative sessions to drive program progress and resolve barriers to success.
    • Serve as a liaison between program teams and leadership, ensuring transparent communication and timely dissemination of updates.
    • Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
    • Establish metrics and collect data to assess program impact, efficiency, and outcomes.
    • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for leadership, highlighting successes and identifying opportunities for further enhancement.
    • Stay informed of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in pharmacy practice, integrating relevant advancements into program strategies.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Maintain accurate records of program activities, training materials, and meeting outcomes.
    • Ensure all program components comply with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Process and Quality Improvement
    • Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives related to pharmacy programs.
    • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to increase program effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license.
  • 7+ years’ experience in pharmacy program development, implementation, or clinical operations; to include 2+ years of project leadership.
  • Experience in pharmacy program development, implementation, or clinical operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering staff training and educational initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a history of effective partnership with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
