JOB L OCATION: Hybrid (Some remote work some on campus work)
JOB SUMMARY
Spalding University is accepting applications for 2 positions of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Kosair for Kids School of Physical Therapy. The positions are 12-month positions with faculty rank negotiable depending on experience. The start date is July 1, 2025. These positions will serve on academic unit and university committees and participate in official activities at the academic unit, college, graduate area, and university levels. These are hybrid positions, which will allow faculty to live remote from campus, although frequent overnight travel to Louisville, Kentucky is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and teach the lecture portion of courses using online delivery to include weekly one-hour synchronous sessions.
- Courses include weekly one-hour synchronous sessions.
- Teaching laboratory content for courses occurs on campus in Louisville, KY.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Kentucky, or eligible for licensure
- A minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
- Terminal Doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, DSc or equivalent). In lieu of a terminal doctorate, a DPT with ABPTS Board certification may be accepted.
- Able to travel for extended periods to Louisville for lab and student events
Preferred
- Prior experience teaching in a CAPTE accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program
- ABPTS Board certification in Neurology, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, or Cardiopulmonary physical therapy
- Evidence of an active research and scholarly agenda.
INTERRELATIONS
- Regular or daily contact with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations.
