Under the direction of a RN or LPN, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Performs a variety of routine duties involving care of medically ill acute or subacute patients
• Assist patients with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Provide compassionate and respectful care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient well-being
• Observes and reports changes in the behavior and physical status of residents
• Provides a clean and safe environment
• Performs other related duties

Reports:

• RN/ Clinical Nurse
• RN/Nurse Manager
• RN/Assistant Nurse Manager
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Supervises:

• None

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• None

Preferred Experience:

• No previous experience required. One (1) year of job-related experience preferred.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)* certification required prior to performing patient care. (*NOTE: Free BLS certification training provided by Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) on-site as part of clinical orientation as needed)

 

NOTE: Orientation requires your availability to complete Clinical Orientation on your first  full week (Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm).
