Job Summary:
The Enrollment Communication Leader position is responsible for driving employee awareness, education, and adoption of voluntary benefits through strategic communication initiatives. This role serves as a primary point of contact for Business Solutions clients and their brokers, ensuring that enrollment messaging is effectively tailored, timed, and executed to meet the needs of diverse employee populations. The position is accountable for overseeing the full lifecycle of enrollment communication from early planning conversations to content development, execution, and post-enrollment analysis.Responsibilities:
This role supports client engagement by leading Open Enrollment communication strategies and identifying ongoing opportunities for benefit education throughout the year. It partners closely with the Broker Relationship Team to provide operational support, schedule planning discussions in advance of enrollment periods, and ensure that campaigns are aligned with the client’s benefit administration platform and internal processes. The position promotes best practices, consults on messaging strategies, and ensures that all communication activities reflect a high standard of clarity, accessibility, and relevance.
The role collaborates with internal stakeholders, including Marketing and Product teams, to develop and refine content such as digital materials, benefit descriptions, mobile tools, videos, and on-site signage. It also acts as a subject matter expert on benefit communication trends, content strategy, and effective delivery methods. In addition to campaign execution, the position is responsible for tracking engagement, analyzing performance metrics, and providing reporting to leadership to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
The Enrollment Communication Leader plays a key role in ensuring that employees are equipped to make informed benefit decisions, while also supporting client satisfaction and business growth through increased enrollment participation.
Performance Outcomes
Client & Broker Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and brokers regarding employee communication and enrollment activities.
- Lead strategic planning discussions in advance of Open Enrollment to ensure tailored and impactful communication strategies.
- Support the Broker Relationship Team by identifying enrollment opportunities and providing guidance and resources for effective execution.
- Promote year-round education and communication to support enrollment in both traditional and evergreen benefit offerings.
Communication Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement enrollment communication campaigns that align with client goals, employee demographics, and benefit timelines.
- Recommend best practices in benefit communication based on client needs, industry trends, and internal standards.
- Customize messaging based on the client’s benefit administration platform and internal processes.
Content Development & Collaboration
- Act as a subject matter expert in communication needs and collaborate with the Marketing team to develop or enhance enrollment materials.
- Contribute to the creation of content including flyers, benefit descriptions, digital assets, mobile app resources, banners, and video content.
- Ensure all materials reflect brand voice, are accessible to diverse employee populations, and align with strategic messaging goals.
Reporting, Analysis & Market Insight
- Track engagement and analyze campaign performance to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Stay informed of emerging trends in benefits communication and advocate for adjustments in strategy or tools to maintain market competitiveness.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- High School Degree Required
- Degree in marketing (or similar) preferred.
- 1-3 years business experience preferred.
- Employee benefits experience a plus.
- A proactive, resourceful, and self-directed work style required
- Team oriented.
- Strong persuasive writing skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
