The Work You Will Do:
Highway Maintenance Technician II / District Six / Director of Operations / District Maintenance / South Dade Maintenance – Traffic Services #1
This position will support the agency’s mission by maintaining and repairing highways, bridges, and related infrastructure to ensure public safety and transportation efficiency. It will involve the use of construction tools and equipment, performing vehicle inspections and maintenance, and working in diverse outdoor conditions. The position also requires effective communication, the ability to follow instructions, and collaboration with team members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Annual Salary Range:
$36,651.68 - $47,431.59
A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $1,934.40 will be added to the annual salary.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
Upon receipt of the required CDL Instructional Permit or License; Operates a variety of vehicles and mechanized equipment to include backhoe, tractors with attachments, crew cabs, and dump truck. Performs pre-trip inspection/minor maintenance on vehicles/equipment that they are operating. Cleans and washes equipment.
Uses a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools to maintain bridges and roadways. Performs independent manual labor incidental to job assignments at an intermediate level of complexity with minimal supervision.
Performs rough carpentry, masonry, painting and/or assist in the assembly and erection of highway signs.
Performs Maintenance of Traffic control.
