This is a 1st shift position working 8:00am - 4:00pm, with the flexibility to work 1-2 a month on 2nd/3rd shift.

What you’ll do:
As a Sanitation Specialist you’ll be responsible for leading, and facilitating programs, including but not limited to sanitation chemical management, training, maintenance of sanitation and production equipment, testing procedures, informing management of sanitation issues, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Kerry Standard Operating Procedures. This position will also promote a safe work environment through knowledge of the sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all. We’re looking for someone who leads by example and constantly strives for continuous improvement. Whether it’s improving team collaboration, ensuring productivity, or monitoring cleanliness progress, we’ll ask you to be the driving force behind these efforts. Have a passion for teamwork? As a sanitation specialist we’ll rely on you to guide and work alongside our quality staff to ensure our team is supported and has a clear expectation of deliverables.
What you’ll need to be successful & safe:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Secondary education preferred, preferably in a related field like microbiology, food science, or industrial hygiene.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing, preferably with experience in sanitation or quality functions.
- Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety regulations, FSMA, and industry and market trends.
- Willingness to learn food safety standards and sanitation related topics.
- A good understanding of sanitation practices, MSS, CIP, and SSOP’s.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Dependable, prompt, and willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work/support in AM/PM shifts for trainings and trials.
- Experience with 5-S, Lean Manufacturing Principles or other continuous improvement methods is preferred.
